Maa Vakangi Temple Consecration Ceremony and Shatchandi Mahayagya Conclude Successfully in Udaipur
Udaipur, Rajasthan:
The five-day Pran Pratishtha Mahotsav (Consecration Ceremony) and Shatchandi Mahayagya at the newly constructed Maa Vakangi Temple concluded successfully in Udaipur with immense religious devotion and community participation.
The event was organized by the Nandwana Samaj Seva Samiti, Udaipur, from July 7 to July 11, bringing together devotees from various cities across India. Nearly 1,000 members of the Nandwana community attended the religious celebrations.
The newly built Maa Vakangi Temple, located at Vakangi Mata Chauraha, New Mali Colony, Udaipur, has been established as the Kuldevi (family deity) temple of the Nandwana community.
The religious ceremonies included an 11 Kundiya Yagya, conducted under the guidance of Pratishthacharya Pt. Jagdish Chandra Shastri, Assistant Acharya Jitendra Shastri, and a team of 21 Vedic priests. The main Yajman (chief patrons) included Rajkumar Chanchawat along with ten other participating couples, who offered sacred oblations during the Mahayagya.
One of the major highlights of the event was the grand Kalash Yatra, where hundreds of women dressed in traditional attire participated with great enthusiasm, carrying sacred Kalash pots while devotional music and cultural performances filled the streets.
The celebration also featured Sunderkand Path, Mataji Ki Chowki, Bhajan Sandhya, and devotional performances organized by Nayan Nandwana, Surveer Singh Kotda, Anjali Acharya, and their respective teams, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere throughout the festival.
Along with the consecration of Maa Vakangi, idols of Goddess Saraswati, Goddess Lakshmi, Lord Ganesha, and Bhairav Ji were also ceremonially installed inside the temple.
According to the organizers, the event marked a historic occasion for the Nandwana community and reflected their unity, faith, and cultural heritage. The successful completion of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony has established Maa Vakangi Temple as an important spiritual destination for devotees and members of the community.
The organizers expressed gratitude to all volunteers, priests, devotees, and guests whose support contributed to the grand success of the five-day religious celebration.
